Following a frantic and exciting 2021 season in Formula 1, attention is already starting to be cast towards the 2022 season.

A dramatic title battle involving Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton came alongside Red Bull’s fierce rivalry with Mercedes, while Ferrari also showed significant signs of improvement.

Throw in major regulation changes aimed at increasing the competitiveness and it results in what should be a brilliant campaign – but when exactly does it get underway?

Fans have a while to wait as the season is due to get underway in Bahrain, with the first race on Sunday, March 20th.

That is followed by the standard week break before heading to Saudi Arabia, with the initial couple months of the season seeing two races take place in each.

Things start to ramp-up in May and July is the stand-out month, with races in all four weekends in Great Britain, Austria, France and Hungary before the standard summer date.

At the other end of the spectrum, the season comes to a close earlier than usual due to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and the final race of the season is in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, November 20th.
