W&L Women’s Track & Field Opens Season at Bast-Cregger Invite

SALEM, Va.  — The Washington and Lee women’s track and field team opened the indoor track and field season on Friday at the Bast-Cregger Invitational.  

Highlights From the Meet

• The Generals took two of the Top 6 spots in the pole vault. Senior Murfee Jones (Lookout Mountain, Ga./Girls Preparatory School) tied for third at 3.05m (10’0.00″). First-year Ashley D’Ambrosia (Henrico, Va./Collegiate School) finished sixth at 2.75m (9’0.25″).
• In the high jump, junior Elizabeth Hertzberg (Roanoke, Va./Cave Spring) placed seventh, clearing 1.47m (4’9.75″).

Senior Murfee Jones (T-3rd) – Pole Vault (3.05m [10’0.00″])
First-year Ashley D’Ambrosia (6th) – Pole Vault (2.75m [9’0.25″])
Junior Elizabeth Hertzberg (7th) – High Jump (1.47m [4’9.75″])
